Certificate requirements
There is no risk of yellow fever.
A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required from travellers arriving from countries with risk of yellow fever transmission or transiting for more than 12 hours through an a country with risk of yellow fever transmission.
Vaccines recommendations
Malaria
There is a low risk of malaria in inland areas of Sabah and in the inland, forested areas of Sarawak - awareness of risk and bite avoidance recommended
There is a very low risk of malaria in the rest of Malaysian Borneo - it is recommended to be aware of the risk and avoid bites.
Travellers at higher risk or in special risk risk groups should seek specialist advice.
