Blood Group - £99.00
Blood group testing is a method to tell what type of blood you have. Your blood type is based on which proteins are on your red blood cells and this is either type A, B, AB or O. A test is also done to see whether you have Rhesus (Rh) factor on the surface of your red blood cells which is either positive or negative.
Please note, results can take 3-5 working days.
Cholesterol Profile - £69.00
7 biomarkers:
- High-density lipoprotein (HDL)
- Low-density lipoprotein (LDL)
- HDL percentage
- Non-HDL cholesterol
- Total cholesterol
- Triglyceride
- Total cholesterol : HDL ratio
This test can indicate your risk of developing cardiovascular problems. High cholesterol levels can cause your arteries to become blocked — leading to coronary heart disease, heart attack or a stroke. Finding out about high levels of cholesterol can help you to make the positive lifestyle and dietary changes needed to improve your chances of a long and healthy life.
Diabetes - HbA1c - £69.00
1 biomarker:
Glycated haemoglobin (HbA1c)
A high HbA1c is used to diagnose diabetes. It is particularly useful because it gives an indication of how often you have had abnormally high blood glucose levels over the previous 3 months – rather than a glucose test which only shows your level at a single point in time. It is a potentially life-saving test and it is quite common for people to have diabetes and not know about it. Unmanaged or undiagnosed diabetes is one of the leading causes of mortality.
Full Blood Count (FBC) - £69.00
20 biomarkers:
- Haemoglobin (HGB)
- Red cell count (RCC)
- Haematocrit (HCT)
- Mean corpuscular volume (MCV)
- Mean cell haemoglobin (MCH)
- Mean cell haemoglobin concentration (MCHC)
- Red cell distribution width (RDW)
- Platelet count (PLT)
- Mean platelet volume (MPV)
- White cell count (WCC)
- Neutrophils (NEUT)
- Neutrophils percent (NEUT%)
- Lymphocytes (LYMPH)
- Lymphocytes percent (LYMPH%)
- Monocytes (MONO)
- Monocytes percent (MONO%)
- Eosinophils (EOSIN)
- Eosinophils percent (EOSIN%)
- Basophils (BASO)
- Basophils percent (BASO%)
Provides information about different cells in the blood, including red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets. Red blood cells contain haemoglobin which carries oxygen to different tissues in the body whereas white blood cells control the immune system and protects the body from foreign invaders such as bacteria and viruses. It is used as a screening test for various disorders like anaemia and infections.
